Mental health support for emergency workers in Lviv
Moe Kolo our partner NGO in the mental health counselling space and the Lviv Regional Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Centre have signed a memorandum of cooperation. This is the first official tie-up that Moe Kolo has signed, an indication of their growing reputation since starting to offer group therapy online two years ago. The goal is to develop and implement a mental health support programme for emergency medical workers, professionals who save lives every day, often under extreme conditions. This work is essential, not only for their well-being but for the resilience of the entire healthcare system; once established in Lviv, the plan would be to extend the service with agreements with further Ukrainian cities.
From August 2024 to August 2025, Moe Kolo aims to support over 4,000 Ukrainians with the help of Oak Foundation. Between August 2024 and February 2025 alone, they have already provided
psychosocial support to 2,196 Ukrainians. Since the start of their work (June 2023) to February 2025 they have supported 4,816 Ukrainians.
